Futureworlder (aka Brian Traister) returns with his second release on the label of 2017. Like his previous release, it’s 4 pieces of moving, deep melodic tech workouts that would be great for any DJ’s set.
‘Light Me Up’ starts things off properly with huge cathedral type leads that coast over tough techno drums and racing 16th notes. You could picture a thousand bodies gyrating in sync to this on a beach island or in an off the beaten path warehouse in an unknown location. ‘Introspective’ pulls back the energy a bit but it’s no less captivating. Big thick analog pads float over a rubbery bass line, and later on, old school acid riffs give it an extra dose of grit. ‘Symbiotic’ comes back to the big dance floor formula and has a fantastic sense of motion to it. Sweet, fluttering, robust chords run in and out of the mix as energetic hats, a fat kick, and percussion propel it forward. And the closer, ‘What Your Heart Tells You,’ has a beautiful progression of melody that really give it soul and resolve while having a bit of filth in the bass line; a nice paradox to bring the EP to a close.
We’re super stoked about this second release on 3Bridge from Futureworlder.
