Birmingham (UK) born, Steve ‘Griffo’ Griffiths returns in his Second City Firsts guise six years after his remix of KP Deep Mesh’s ‘Hemp’ here on the label. Steve’s latest track ‘Tribal Tattoo’ is a tribal house outing inspired by his love of the late ’80s/early ’90s Warriors Dance label that released such seminal tracks as ‘Koro Koro’ by No Smoke. ‘Tribal Tattoo’ is a full-on tribal groover with jazzy vibes and a huge drum breakdown. On remix duties, well known Nordic house music stalwart, Norway’s Ulf Moen Denneche aka Boblebad, known for his releases on labels such as Beatservice has created a more laid back, dreamy mix with his ‘Bubble Dub’.
