Simon Sampler returns to 3Bridge with his release, the ‘Beef And Granny EP’. We’ve always liked Simon’s work a whole lot and this time around, he has 2 quirky tracks to unleash that are meant for those late club nights.
‘Beef Dito’ starts things off with a bouncy huge kick drum and slick techno type percussion with a repeated vocal sample throughout that becomes a part of the rhythm after time. A Giorgio Moroder type bass line causes the low end waves to ebb and flow while twisted synth riffs enter in and out of the spectrum. It’s sure to get a dance floor moving and the unique sound of it will captivate the ears.
‘Granny Smith’ still keeps the theme of twisted, deep tech house but this one is a bit of a slower burn and tempo. Filthy bass riffs compliment the kick and clap, and some fun vocal samples are scattered throughout. It’s minimal in its presentation and the restraint here is the strength, using each element and placing them carefully in the mix.
And without further ado, give these tracks a spin. You’ll be glad you did.
