Minimal techno artist LGR (aka Luis Miguel Ascencio ) is back with another release on the label, the ‘Memories EP’. This 3 track has a lot of character with exquisite sound design and superb production.
‘Isabeel’ ebbs and flows with interesting sampling, echoed voices, and subtle evolving atmospheres, all backed by a techno focused dance floor beat. ‘Memories’ takes that approach as well, and adds thick bass lines that filter in and out along with melodies that swim beneath the surface. And closing track ‘Regresar Al Pasado’ which translates to ‘Going Back To The Past’, brings it all home, combining sharp analog sounding leads, minimal percussion, and great sampling work.
