Futureworlder (aka Brian Traister) returns with his first release on 3Bridge in 2019. We’re delighted to be another one his works as he always delivers top quality and ‘Memory Design’ is no exception.
The title track coasts along with fat analog pads and melodies with shuffling hats, woodblocks, and claps serving as the rhythmic engine. Sparkling pads dialed up from the heavens shower the listener with sound and at the same time a chugging techno type bass line gives it some grit. There’s shadows of some of the best 808 State work here and fans of that sound would do well to seek this out.
‘Sumbawa’, which is an Indonesian island far far away from where the label is situated, is a real pretty number, it’s as if upon listening you’re flying over crystal blue waters as a metronomic heart beat pulses.
‘Fragments’ closes things out with a dash of acid combined with the trademark atmosphere we’ve come to know and love from this artist. Make this record a part of your memory.
