Sleepy & Boo make their return to 3Bridge Records with their second label EP of 2017, the three-track ‘Return to Order EP’. This release is one of the duo’s most accomplished works yet, a shimmering collection of uplifting and melodic gems that are sure to create long-lasting dancefloor memories. We’re very excited to welcome them back with this expertly crafted EP, highlighting a new dimension to Sleepy & Boo’s evolving sound.
The title track ‘Return to Order’ has its genesis in the eighth meditation sound path that BegoƱa of Sleepy & Boo has been creating over the last year. Its melody is a haunting guitar loop that conjures up a dreamy morning groove, anchored by a hypnotic bassline and upfront, precise percussion. As dubbed-out, delayed stabs and warm pads are introduced, the track builds to an ethereal crescendo. ‘Return to Order’ has been a staple of Sleepy & Boo’s sets over the last few months, with partygoers routinely approaching the booth for a track ID when they hear it.
Up next we have ‘Glimmer’, a composition that delves deep into emotional atmospheres and textures. This track is driven by a powerful chord progression that strengthens and evolves as it moves forward. There’s a peak-hour, hands-in-the-air break, as soaring arpeggios and vocal samples intensify the energy for a true goosebump-inducing experience.
Wrapping up this release is ‘White Light’, which weaves the melodic themes of the previous two tracks into a tight, techno-flavored, late-night workout. Rolling basslines, filtered analog synths, hypnotic notes, and an extended keyboard solo are some of the most prominent elements of the track, making it an ideal selection for DJs looking for a unique and moody pick to stand out in their set.
